Facialist Ingrid Seaburn is beauty obsessed by trade. From her skin health studio in Bondi she offers a series of much loved treatments; think her famous Geneo three in one super facial, LED light therapy, skin needling and more. By all accounts she has "magic hands", a title that comes after more than twenty years spent in the field. Seaburn is the first port of call for celebrities seeking glowing skin and her roster of clients includes Pip Edwards and Bambi Northwood Blythe, no less.
While Ingrid is renowned for the results she delivers her clients, here at RUSSH we're turning our attention to the facialist's own beauty routine. Below, Ingrid Seaburn shares her beauty non-negotiables and praises the power of an active serum.
What is your morning beauty routine?
I keep it simple: Cleanse/antioxidant serum, Hydrate gel which is a Hyaluronic Acid to keep skin hydrated, followed by a light moisturizer and tinted SPF.
What is your night beauty routine?
Night time is active serum time... I have been a loyal user of the American brand Osmosis for many years. Alternating retinol with a Vitamin C every second night, combined with a growth factors serum and a serum to support my skin's lipid barrier and immune system.. I never go to bed without using my beloved eye serum from Osmosis called illuminate.
Describe what you do for a living? What does a typical day look like for you?
I have been a skin therapist for 20 years and I am truly passionate about skin. Living in LA for a long time gave me a great grounding for learning skin science. The last few years I have been home I've had my own business, a Studio in Bondi that I created as a personal skin health experience for all my clients. I like to start my day with a workout (either dance or Pilates.) I love my morning coffee, I usually have at least four before I walk out the door! I see clients in the Studio from 10 am, usually working until around 7. I like to eat late, always healthy, fish and veggies based and I finish my workday with a glass of organic, preservative-free red wine (for the health benefits of course!).
What is the supermarket/drug store/chemist beauty products that you use and love?
I discovered Sukin Cleansing lotion and now recommend it for all my clients to use. It is chemical-free and so inexpensive, it's fabulous! I also love their Tinted SPF30, great product, great price, total steal!
